Today I went shopping in Clifton, which I rarely do because it's so goddamn expensive. Although they do have some charity shops with some surprisingly nice stuff in, so there's two sides to my budget really. Anyway, I always visit this nice Jamaican lady, I forget her name, but she always gave me sweet deals on her unique range of clothes. It was the only reason I went, and she'd CLOSED DOWN. I was very annoyed; it seems like every independent clothes store is going out of business because they can't compete with the bland mass conformity of new look, primark and h&m etc. It also happened to me last week in Shepton Mallet, where a very interesting vintage shop had opened about 6 months ago, but had closed by the time I got round to visiting.I was so angry I did my angry dance, which looks quite a lot like this, only not accompanied by a bitchin' sax.
So, support your independent shops people!
